Signs by Dana returns to the Greenway this Sunday, July 12 with their bright, bold, one-of-a-kind, metal sculptures. Dana Wilson began his career with metal when he started a pewter casting company in 1972 at just 17 years old. Since then he's mastered the skills of the costume jewelry crafting industry and has studied the art of blacksmithing at Rhode Island School of Design as well as completed an apprenticeship studying metal fabrication.
After 40 years in business Dana closed his pewter casting company in April 2012 and now spends his free time making art and fueling his creative energy into Signs by Dana. Speaking about his passion for his craft, Dana told us, "I enjoy working with metal. Transforming a flat piece of steel into a three dimensional sculpture is very rewarding. I become inspired simply by stepping into my work space. I never know what will be sitting on my bench when I am done!" We can't wait to see what Dana's latest creations are! Swing by the Flea this Sunday from 10am to 4pm and brighten up your day with Signs by Dana!
