Everyone knows that friendly leashed dogs are some of the biggest fans of The Flea. That's part of the reason why The Cheeky Hound is such a great vendor.
The Cheeky Hound is a dog boutique and café that offers a range of pet services and special products for your canine pal. Lindsay Vincent brings beautiful dog collars, dog beds, leashes, toys and dog bowls for your pooch to the greenway each week. She makes her own amazing baked dog treats sold in bulk, and carries a line of funky tees sporting popular breeds for the dog lover in all of us!
The Cheeky Hound is at The Flea all summer long. Dog days and all! Come get a treat for your favorite pal.
Calling all dog lovers...and cat and bird and snake lovers! (Ok, maybe not snake lovers...) Jodi Manca is a painter specializing in pet portraits in tempera, acrylic, oils and print who is inspired mostly by color. Jodi told us, "I love the emotional effects color can produce and enjoy exploring that. When it comes to the dog portraits, it's all about emotion!' As a pet owner herself, she says it's the emotion in the eyes that draws her to paint them. She likes to see if she can capture their individual personalities. (We'd say she captured it in the face of this beagle!)
Jodi loves the diversity of a flea, and thinks a flea market is like traveling the world--something to discover around every corner! See Jodi's art in our corner of the world at The Providence Flea on June 23, July 21 and August 25!
Our canine pals need a booth at The Flea, too! The good folks at Plaid & Stripe, a wonderful pet shop in Providence's Wayland Square, will bring Up Country collars, leashes and treat jars--all handmade just up the road in East Providence. (We love that Up Country donates collars and leashes for adopted dogs at the Providence Animal Rescue League--also coming to The Flea!) Your best friend will also enjoy "Jack's Snacks" cookies made for dogs from local ingredients in Cranston. Bring home some treats for your four-legged pal from Plaid & Stripe on June 9 and 30; July 21 and 28, and August 11 and 25.
