Jaclyn Trudel is a budding jewelry maker from Riverside, RI. Jackie practices the ancient art of decoupage, using vintage papers affixed to hand-cut aluminum bases to create earrings in an array of colors, textures and patterns. Her work reminds us of 17th century-style, Venetian cut-out paper decorations that are thought to have made their way into Europe through trade links between Italy and the Far East. Jackie is currently working towards a Bachelor's degree in jewelry design and metal smithing. We look forward to seeing more creations from this aspiring decopeur this summer at The Flea!
See Jackie at The Flea on July 14.
